Le Mournet is first and foremost a family home and one lovingly cared for by myself and my husband Christian and definitely enjoyed by our two girls. I am a working Mum who uses her yoga to keep fit and sane and do not profess to be the world's best or most accomplished yogi but enjoy my practise and what is give me in my daily life. Vinyasa Yoga is a very flowing and feminin form of practise and works with the energy of the elements that surround us, the movement of the sun and moon and takes its inspiration from how you feel at any given time. Sivananda trained at the beginning my inspirations have since been David Swenson, Shiva Rea, Marla Meenakshi, Sarah Powers and Lara Bauman. I thank them deeply for all that they have given me.

Le Mournet is an ideal backdrop for yoga practise and if you choose to stay with us then it would be my great pleasure to share a yoga session with you. You can of course also choose to come on one our retreats or yoga & activity holidays.

For those in the know:
Charlotte teaches a mix of Hatha and Vinyasa Flow techniques in a typical class adapting the session the physical level, type of energy and wishes of the person. A class will flow using Vinyasa, breathing techniquesand always finishes in relaxation. Ashtanga Yoga can also be taught if this is your usual practise or try the healing and rejunvenative Yin sessions.

For those new to yoga:
Yoga literally means union & is the uniting of the body, mind and soul; the individual with the universal. In lay-mans terms a yoga session allows you to stretch, strengthen & relax the body, focus your mind and your breathing and relax. A typical session works on aligning breath with movement, using basic asanas or yoga postures to therapeutically align the spine& open the body on all levels removing physical and mental blockages. Savasana – or relaxation – at the end of the session allows the body and mind to wind-down completely. You are left feeling at peace, relaxed and recharged.
