La Chataigne
Sleeps 2-4La Chataigne is a large, luxurious one bedroom property ideal for a couple or small family. It is on the garden level and reflects natures colours with its subtle green shades. It has a private garden, terrace and BBQ to fully enjoy the mild Spring and Summer nights and the wonderful colours of Autumn. The kitchen is open plan with a light airy lounge/dining area leading out onto the terrace and garden. The bedroom is spacious and can either have twin beds or a double bed made up. A comfortable sofa bed in the lounge allows you to stay as a small family and there is plenty of space in the bedroom for a baby bed. The bathroom has maintained its vaulted ceiling and has a good sized bath with shower attachment, wash basin and WC. La Chataigne also has 1 metre thick walls (as do the whole house) and so stays very cool in the Summer months – natural air conditioning and we have been told a real bonus for those worried about travelling with small infants! A beautifully spacious property ideal for a couple (with or without a baby) and great for those seeking a little extra privacy . There is an additional sofa bed in the bedroom that can be used instead of the one in the lounge if this suits your needs better.
L’Ecurie
Sleeps 4-5L’Ecurie is the old stable block situated in the courtyard of the original farmhouse now completely refurbished and converted into a tastefully furnished 2 bedroom property for 4 – 5 people. Shades of blue are used for L’Ecurie. It has an open-plan lounge and kitchen/dining area and two double bedrooms. The main bedroom converted from the old cellar has a double bed and has retained the original arched ceiling and stone wall - it has space for a baby bed. The second bedroom has twin beds and is ideal for 2 children but can equally be made up as a double. There is a large walk-in shower, washbasin, WC and heated towel rail in the bathroom. The property is reached through the white courtyard gates and is all on the ground floor of the building featured in the courtyard photo. It has use of the inner courtyard (shared with the owners but subtly separated) and full use of a large stone BBQ located at the far end of the courtyard. The courtyard is a real suntrap and ideal for those wishing to while-away the Summer evenings admiring the sky and bird-life. L’Ecurie is cool, light and ideal for a family of 4.
La Grange
Sleeps 6-8La Grange has been converted and extended from the old barn / hayloft at road level and is now a large contemporary holiday property with spacious living room and kitchen/dining area leading through to a bathroom, separate WC and 3 bedrooms one with ensuite shower-room. French windows lead from the large outside terrace onto the living area. The red and orange hues provide a touch of warmth in this very spacious property ideal for larger family groups or groups of friends sharing a week’s holiday or long-weekend break. The comfortable lounge area leads through to the main bathroom with bath and shower attachment, double wash basins and heated towel rail. There is a separate toilet. Three double bedrooms are situated down the corridor – the ensuite bedroom has a double bed and the two other bedrooms both have twin beds that can either be made up as singles or doubles. One of these has ample room to fit a baby bed should this be required. The large terrace & garden area with garden furniture, BBQ and sun loungers look out over the main Mournet gardens, the pool, river and the chestnut forests beyond. The terrace gets the sun from early morning to late at night and is ideal for those sun-worshippers and great for al-fresco dining!
La Grange is an ideal location for larger family of friend groups or two couples seeking a little extra comfort. A real “home away from home”.
